13 and 1/2 monther

Yesterday Boston and I went to the park and sat by the stream.  I handed him little rocks and he threw them in the water, one by one, for about a half and hour.  It was adorable.
Earlier that day, I was acting a little sad and Boston noticed.  I was laying on the ground and he stopped what he was doing and came over to me and put his face up against mine and gave me one of his great, open mouthed, slobber kisses.  And then he wrapped his little arms around my neck and gave me a hug.  It melted my heart.  He is such a sweet, good boy.

He dances by bouncing up and down and turning in circles when he hears music.
He throws his food from his high chair, and has a pretty good arm.  He says "uh oh" when he drops anything but leaves off the "oh" so it's just "uh".
He always has to have 2 spoons when he eats and wants to do it himself.
He is addicted to bananas and eats and average of 2 whole ones everyday, I think.  He says "nananana" until I give in and give him one.  Do you think that's bad?
Today for lunch he ate: a whole quesadilla, a whole hotdog, 3/4 can of green beans, and a cup of apple sauce. I need to start couponing!
We went to Grandma Allreds house this week and she was planting her garden.  Boston stomped right over to the hose and the mud and started splashing around.  He is ALL boy.
When ever a door opens he scrambles to get to it and get outside.  I loves to just wander around...and pull out my flowers from the flower pot!
He loves balls, balloons, cars, blocks, and is starting to sit still while we read him books.

This stage is so much fun and also challenging.  He is so energetic!

Da Da Da Done and Done

When Chaz and I got married he had a little over 3 years of his undergrad left.  At that time, thinking about 3 more years felt so overwhelming.  I felt like it would never be over!

I can't believe that those 3 years are over and he is DONE with school!

Did you know that there has never been a time in our married life that one or both of us hasn't been in school?...including summers....and right when we got back from our honeymoon.

Do you know what this means?! This means that Chaz can come home from work and we can hang out or watch a show or go on a bike ride.  And neither of us have to feel guilty about it!  Do you know how excited I am? A proper word choice for my feelings would be stoked.  I am STOKED!

It feels like a weight has been lifted off my shoulders. (I think I may be more excited for Chaz to be done that he is...) :)

On Saturday he walked at graduation and it was one of those really happy days that you will always remember and that is filled with family and good food.

I am so grateful we were both able to get college educations and have Boston too.  We have been so blessed.  I think about how Chaz was able to get a good job that would work around his school schedule and paid enough so we could afford to have Boston.  I think about the great institute teachers and professors that guided us along.  It is obvious that we were only able to do it because of the enabling power of grace.  I think it is a gift that that was given to us by a loving and merciful Heavenly Father.

Phew...now for grad school :)
