We have been so blessed this summer. We were worried about work and money as school was finishing up but Chaz was able to get a job that he really wanted. Our prayers really were answered. For his job he delivers medical supplies and gets to drive around town in this sweet green van that has pictures of people with oxygen masks on it. Since Chaz got that job, I am able to take summer classes so I can graduate next spring. It is so nice in the summer because campus isn't crowded and the professors give you more individual attention. So we work and study and eat otter pops during the week and then go have adventures on the weekends.
We went and visited my brother Scott (who is living in the big time SLC this summer). We went and ate some authentic Mexican food at the Red Iguana, went swimming at his apartment pool with all the five year-olds that were playing there, and went and saw Iron Man 3. Scott is pretty much like our best friend I guess you could say.
We hiked the Wind Caves for the first time together! It is so fun to have the canyon so close. When Chaz gets home we can just grab some otter pops, hop in the car and go for a hike or bike ride or whatever we want.
Aggie Ice Cream of course
Hike up Bell Canyon
Sunday with the Allreds
I got this mustache app on my phone that I find hilarious.
We rented a canoe and went to the Little Bear River. It was a little precarious driving over there with that big thing on top but Chaz handled our little dodge like a champ and we made it without even getting pulled over.
We took a road trip to Yellowstone with my brother Johnny and his wife Sarah. They were so nice to invite us and we had so much fun! They are having a baby in about a month and Sarah is such a cute pregnant person.
Old Faithful doing her thing
We stopped in Jackson Hole
Stopping for a little treat at The Bunnery
Chaz and I also went on our first camping trip with just the two of us. It was seriously so fun. We went to Porcupine Reservoir. There was no water or bathrooms or anything but it was only for one night and was actually really fun to feel like were were roughin' it. Here are some pictures of that:
Chaz set up the tent. Thank you Monica and Jay for the tent! Also can you just notice that blazing fire? I built that all by myself! I'm not kidding. I didn't spend a summer at scout camp for nothing.
Tinfoil dinner
Carving
Chaz carved my name into this stick and I thought it was so cute I had to take a picture. Sorry it's blurry but you get the idea.
The water was so. cold. We will go back and jump off the cliff another day. :)
